February Highlights

February seemed to go by pretty fast for me. I'm pretty excited that spring is almost here!
All of the snow that we had finally melted. We had snow for two months! We've had some spring weather the last few weeks. We have gotten a couple more snow showers though, but it always melts really quickly.

Some of my highlights from February are:

~The book club. Last month I mentioned that I started a book club for young girls 8-12. Well, last month was mostly a get-to-know-you day. So the meeting this month was our first"official" one where we discussed the book, did some activities that related to the book and some other fun things. :) I've been having a lot of fun with it.

~This event actually happened in January, but I forgot to mention it last month. I hosted a movie party. I had a couple friends over and we watched Elizabeth Gaskell's North and South. We also had dinner and, of course, visited.

~I really enjoy English Country dancing and I usually go dancing once a month, but this month I was able to go a couple of times. It's always a lot of fun.

~Valentine's Day. My family and I really didn't do much for Valentine's Day, but I did give Valentine candy to everyone in my family.

~When Calls the Heart Blog party! My friend Faith and I hosted a When Calls the Heart blog party. It was a ton of fun!! :D

~When Calls the Heart season 4 has started!! It has been super good so far, but that is all I'll say because I don't want to give anything away to anyone who hasn't seen it yet. ;)

I didn't get as much reading done this month as I did last month, but I still read some fun books. I read:
Courageous Love by Susan K. Marlow
Number the Stars by Lois Lowry
The Measure of a Heart by Janette Oke
The Mystery of the Brass-Bound Trunk by Carolyn Keene
Ellie by Mary Christner Borntrager
To a Tea by Vera Dodge

My favorite would have to be Courageous Love. It was SO good! I just love the Circle C books. The rest of the books were great too.

How was your month? Did you do anything fun?

I'm looking forward to all that March will bring. :) I'm super excited for our flowers to bloom!

You should check out North and South sometime. It’s a great movie. It’s about 4 hours long, but it’s broken into four parts which makes it easier to watch if you don’t have that long just to sit down and watch something.
English Country dancing is super fun! I’ve been doing it regularly for almost 2 years now. =)
The blog party was a blast!!!! Hehe, you’re welcome. *winks back*
Yes, I enjoyed all the books I read this past month. Especially “Courageous Love” and “The Measure of a Heart”. “To a Tea” was really fun too. Oh, that’s fun that you have “Polly”. “Ellie was pretty good. The library has the whole series so I’ll hopefully read them all sometime. ;)
I did have a nice month! I cannot wait for all the flowers to bloom!! Oh, I’m looking forward to our homeschool convention too. And I’m definitely looking forward to you sending your book off to beta-readers. ;)
