Praying for Your Future Husband // Book Review

From the Back Cover:
Have you ever thought about praying for your future husband?
Will it make a difference?
There's only one way to find out…

From when we were small girls, most of us dream of “The One,” our future husband. We think about what it would be like to be a bride. We wonder who that special guy is and when we'll find him. The great news is that what you do now can make a difference in your life and the life of your future husband!

Authors and good friends Robin Jones Gunn (Christy Miller series) and Tricia Goyer (author and former teen mom) believe God answers women's prayers for husbands—even husbands they may not meet for years. They invite young women to pray boldly for their future mate … while also asking God to prepare their own hearts.

In Praying for Your Future Husband, Robin and Tricia share their two vastly different experiences, including the things they did right and the mistakes they made on the path to meeting and marrying their husbands. Each chapter includes helpful Bible verses, prayers, and practical application, along with true stories of women who prayed for a husband and how God answered in remarkable ways.

God has a beautiful romance prepared for you. Prayer is the key to unlocking the love story … with your future husband and with God, the lover of your soul.

Praying for Your Future Husband is an amazing book. It is written by Robin Jones Gunn and Tricia Goyer. Robin Jones Gunn is the author of the Christy Miller series and in those books it talks about praying for your future husband and other similar things so I knew that this book would probably be pretty good. It definitely was and didn't disappoint me at all! I've prayed for my future husband off and on for several years, but never really knew what I should actually pray about specifically. This book helped a lot. Each chapter talks about a different aspect of what to pray for. It doesn't just tell you what to pray about concerning him but also what to pray about concerning yourself. I liked that it incorporated praying not just for your future husband but for yourself. I found this book to be both helpful and encouraging. This is a book I would recommend to all single girls. Whether you read it by yourself, with a friend (like I did), or in a Bible study group this is really one you should read! I plan to re-read Praying for Your Future Husband later this year.

I give this book 10 R's out of 10

My Friend the Bird is Back!!

If you’ve been around my blog awhile then you already know about this "exotic" bird friend of mine (aka a heron). If not, then you’re probably wondering why on earth I’m calling a heron an exotic bird. Well, this story explains it all! ;) My birdie comes by each year and I sure do love his visits. I think he's trying to figure out how to steal more fish from our pond, but the pond is frozen... This morning though shortly after I woke up I saw him standing in our yard. You can imagine my delight seeing him since I haven't seen him since last spring. So I ran to grab my camera and snapped some pictures.
