Earrings, Good Movies, and My Birthday!!! ~ My September Highlights!

September was a fun month! :D

~I got my ears pierced!! I was so nervous and almost didn't do it, but my mom convinced me to. I love having my ears pierced and I'm so glad I did it. I thought it would really hurt, but it barley did.

~After I got my ears pierced my mom and I went to the movie theatre and saw God Bless the Broken Road. It was really good!

~I won a contest in our small town's paper and won 4 movie tickets for the local theatre. I used one of the tickets and went to see Christopher Robin with my mom and older brother. It was really cute, a little sad, but I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.

~I participated in two readathons this month. The first one I did with my friend, Faith, and got lots of reading done! The second one I did was one hosted by Faith and I participated with her and some other girls. I hardly read at all that time though.

~Fall officially came! I found this fun pillow the other day and just had to get it.

~My brother is playing flag football again! His team won their first game of the season a couple weeks ago. In that game they made 7 touchdowns and my brother, James, made 4 of them!!!

~I had a girls night with some friends. We watched a Hallmark movie, played games, and watched Full House.

~I don't look my age at all. Most people guess me to be about in the 13 to 15 age range. Well, this calls for lots of interesting stories about what people say to me at work. I'm constantly getting asked how old I am and why I'm not in school. I work at a little deli here in town and one day I was taking this couple their lunch. The lady looks at me and says, "Shouldn't you be in school?" I smile and say, "I'm actually almost 22." Both the husband and wife are shocked. Then one of them says, "You don't look a day over 12!" Then the husband says, "Well I guess we'll take your word for it and not call the truant officer." I didn't quite know what to say... ;)

~I only got around to posting one video, but I have lots of others planned so you will hopefully see those soon!

~I watched two fun Hallmark movies with a friend of mine!!

~My mom, sister, two of my brothers, and I went to the mall one afternoon. I bought some earrings and some clothes. One dress I bought was originally $72 but I got it for $11!! Talk about a good deal! :D

~My birthday!! My birthday is in September and I had a great day. Pizza for dinner and brownies for dessert! We played two of my favorite games as a family: Scattergories and Telestrations!
I received lots of fun gifts. I got a new purse, earrings, The First Love by Beverly Lewis, some shirts, and lots of other lovely gifts!

~Two days before my birthday I had a party with some friends. We played Imaginiff and ate cupcakes.

Movies! I watched some good movies this month!
All of My Heart: The Wedding
Truly, Madly, Sweetly
Chesapeake Shores (only 1 episode left until the season finale!)
Moonlight in Vermont
God Bless the Broken Road
Christopher Robin

What was one of the best things you've done in September?
Have you seen any of these movies?
Do people think you're older or younger than your actual age? ;D

Sunshine Blogger Award!

Victoria over at Victoria's Book Nook tagged me for a fun tag called the Sunshine Blogger Award.

~The Rules~
--Thank the blogger who nominated you and link their blog
--Answer the questions the blogger who nominated you provided
--Nominate new bloggers and make up 11 questions for them to answer
--List the rules and have the Sunshine Blogger logo present in your post

1//  What was the last movie you watched (and enjoyed)?
I've watched lots of episodes lately, but the last full movie I watched was a very good Hallmark movie called Truly, Madly Sweetly.

2// Favorite Summer-y food?
Hamburgers and watermelon are two favorites. I also really love raspberries!

3// Last adventure you had?
Wandering around Fred Meyer with my mom trying to find a certain person who worked there...*laughs* It's a long story. ;)

4// Roadtrip's or Airplanes?
Road trips are a lot of fun because you get to see so much more along the way. Airplanes on the other hand get you to your destination faster so you have more time to spend in the place you want to visit. So both are good, but I guess I prefer road trips over airplanes.

5// What are your dream wedding colors?
I want my bridesmaids to have a really pretty brighter blue color for their dresses. I want to wear forget-me-nots in my hair and have my toenails pained blue to match. So my hair flowers, nails, and bridesmaids dresses would all kind of match. I’m not sure what other colors I would want though.

6// What song have you had on repeat?
I usually listen to music regularly but lately I really haven't been listening to much other then the radio when I'm in the car.

7// Girly-girl or tomboy?
I’m definitely a girly-girl for sure!

8// First celebrity crush?
Ummm...no comment! ;)

9// Top three favorite blogs?
My friends Faith and Victoria's blogs!
Stories by Firefly
Victoria’s Book Nook
Chosen Vessels

10// How long ago did you start your blog?
In a few weeks it will mark 3 years.

11// How do you feel you've grown since starting your blog?
I feel like I've gotten better at writing posts. My posts used to be super short, now even if they're short, I feel like they are more interesting...

Fall,...One of my Favorite Seasons

Today is the first full day of fall!! Fall is one of my very favorite times of the year. (The other is winter.)

I love the cooler weather, getting to wear boots again, all of the pretty leaves....

I love how there are so many different kinds of trees in this picture. This is the view from our front yard during the fall.

That top window is my bedroom. :)

Another thing I love about fall is getting to decorate!

These are two cute decorations I got a few weeks ago.

Candy corn! While this isn't my very favorite candy, it is a must have during the fall! ;)

Those cold, rainy fall days are perfect for curling up with a book (especially a fall themed book).

Another good way to spend those cold, rainy days is watching Fall Harvest movies on the Hallmark channel!

Pumpkins! Great for baking, carving, or just decorations!

Getting all of the boots, scarfs, and other warmer clothes out of the closet.

My birthday! I love having a fall birthday!

Those are some of my favorite things about fall!
Is fall your favorite season? What do you enjoy most about this beautiful time of year?

Exciting News!

Exciting news! In one month, on October 19, will mark my third year of blogging! It seems a little hard to believe that it's already been three years. Blogging has been a fun journey. In celebration of my blogiversary I will be doing a Q&A session. I know I did this for my 1st blogiversary, but this time I will be answering the questions in a vlog! :)
Below is a questionnaire form that you can fill out and ask me questions! You can ask me about life, movies, books, blogging,... just nothing too personal.
Unlike last time where I answered the questions by who sent them, this time I'll separate the questions into different categories like, books, blogging, etc... So I won't be saying who submitted the questions, but if you want to put your name down in the questionnaire I'd sure love to see who sends me what! :D
So ask away! The questionnaire will be opened through October 11.

Hello September Blog Tag

My good friend, Faith, over at Chosen Vessels tagged me for this fun fall tag. I am super excited for fall! It’s still a bit hot here, but I’m really looking forward to it coming!

How to participate...
> Please copy these questions (below), answer them, and then write out new questions (or just copy these) for the people you nominate below your answered questions.
> Please nominate at least 3 bloggers, but try to avoid ones that you know have already been nominated.
> Lastly, include these guidelines in your post, and use the tag picture!

~Windy or rainy autumn?
I kind of like both. Sometimes it’s fun to have a rainy day and just stay inside and read all day, but windy can be nice too, as long as I don’t go outside. I have really sensitive ears and I have to keep them covered up in the wind, so I don’t like to be outside if it’s windy. ;)

~Do you like chai tea?
I’ve never actually had it, but I don’t think it’s something I would care for, but who knows? =)

~Tea or coffee?
Tea. I don’t like coffee. I’m not a super big tea drinker, but there are some I really like.

~If you could go to one state in the U.S.A. just for autumn scenery, where would you go?
Pennsylvania! I’ve been to Pennsylvania in the fall before. It was the first week of November but that was almost a bit too late. There were lots of pretty trees, but some had already lost their leaves. So I would like to go there again but maybe the middle of October.

~Do you like any kind of soup in the autumn? What's one of your favorites?
I don’t really care for soup much. There is actually a sausage potato soup that we’ve made before though and it’s really good.

~What color of leaves do you like best?
Red, yellow, and orange!

~If you could go to another country just for autumn scenery, where would you go?
I’m not actually sure. I think it would be fun to go to Europe and travel around to different places. Some of the places over there might have some really pretty scenery in the fall.

~Sweater or hoodie?
I’d go with a hoodie. Although I did see this really cute sweater at a store recently. I may have to go back and get it sometime… ;)

~A hazelnut or apple cinnamon candle?
Apple cinnamon for sure! I love cinnamon scented stuff.

~Cookies or brownies?
Both are delicious, but probably cookies.

A New Job, Hallmark Movies, and Summer Fun // My August Highlights

Can you believe that summer is almost over!? It's kind of hard for me to believe. I'm really looking forward to fall though! I can't wait.
August was a great month. It was fun and somewhat relaxing. ;) I got lots of reading done which was amazing.

~I got another job! My first day of work was on July 31. I am working at this little deli here in town that serves lunch. I take orders out to people, clear tables, and run the cash register. Some days I do more of one thing then the other. I'm really enjoying the job and the people I work for are really nice.

~I babysat our neighbors daughter who just turned 2 years old. She is so adorable and it was a blast watching her.

--I made another book video! I filmed this one in front of my color coordinated bookshelves.

~We had 4 kids stay with us for a few days. It was fun. One night the two older girls, ages 12 and 15, and I watched a movie together. Then the next night the 3 of us went over to their house where we had the place to ourselves and stayed up late watching movies and eating caramel popcorn. :) I had a lot of fun hanging out with the girls.

~My mouth has finally healed up all of the way since having my wisdom teeth out. Sure, it took 5 months, but hey, at least it healed! ;D

~I had my last day of work at my housecleaning job. I had been doing it for 2 1/2 years. It was a bit bittersweet. The lady I cleaned house for is super sweet so it was sad to say goodbye. I had a little "retirement party", which just means we had a special snack. ;)

~This actually happened in July, but I forgot to mention it. I made it into a blog post on the Circle C blog! It was pretty cool! =)

~A friend of mine and I got together to celebrate her birthday. It was a little bit of a belated celebration, but still a ton of fun. She came over to my house and we had some birthday snacks, I gave her a gift, and we had fun talking for 2 hours. The time flew by so fast and we couldn't quite believe it had been 2 hours.

~I bought these cute wall stickers at Hobby Lobby and had fun decorating around my window seat. Let's just say I've been reading in there a lot... ;)

~The weather this month has been super hot! One day it got to 107 degrees F. It is so dry around here and the fire danger is very high. It's also been so smoky around here. The smoke makes a really  beautiful moon and sun, but it's definitely not good. Thankfully it's finally clearing up.

~There was meteorite showers a couple nights one week and it was really cool to watch. I got eaten by mosquitoes but the meteorites were really pretty!

~My family and I hosted a game day at our house in celebration of my dad's birthday. We had friends over and had a fun afternoon/evening playing games and visiting with friends.

~Movies~
I watched lots of fun movies.
--The Garage Sale Mysteries! Those are great and  I watched all four new ones: The Pandora's Box Murders, The Mask Murder, Picture a Murder, and Murder in D Minor. Then I saw the Aurora Teagarden Mystery: The Disappearing Game. That one premiered last month, but unfortunately I was sick that day and didn't get to watch it until this month.
--I watched A Summer to Remember with a friend!
--My parents and I watched an old Hallmark movie called Rose Hill. It was quite enjoyable.
--The 3rd season of Chesapeake Shores has started! It is off to a great start. This is definitely a series I enjoy. :)

What was August like for you? Any special memories?
Who else is super excited for fall?
