Hallmark, Fun Times, and Book Videos ~ My March Highlights

March has been a very full month. So much has happened. It really was an amazing month though.

Also, before we get into that, sorry that I never posted a February wrap up. February, while it did have it's good times (a father/daughter dance, a Sock Hop, and Valentine's Day) it was a hard month too, and I just never got around to it.

~The weather has been simply beautiful. We've had lots of days where the temperatures were in the mid 60's.

~I went to the movie theatre with my mom and two younger brothers and saw Run the Race. You can read my review of that one here.

~I followed the Iditarod for the 8th year in a row.

~My book club was a ton of fun as usual. For the activity this month I put together a scavenger hunt for the girls. They all had a blast!

~I started a public Instagram account. I share stuff that's on my heart and hope to be a light for Christ. You can check it out here if you'd like to. =)

~I had a girls night with a friend of mine! We watched Hallmark movies and talked a lot about various things. :)

~I went to a Hallmark movie party at some friends house and watched The Convenient Groom then the next night my friend came over and we watched Mystery 101.

~I finally got back into filming some book videos. I did three this month:
My Name in Books
Movie Questionnaire with my brothers
Book Scavenger Hunt

~Season 6 of When Calls the Heart was in full swing. I'm loving it so far and I really hope it resumes super soon.

~I had a shopping day with my mom. We went to the park and had a picnic lunch then we went to lots of different stores. It was a fantastic day!

~I started organizing my closet! I've been meaning to do this forever, but I finally got around to it. I had some time off work and it was the perfect time to get a move on it. Now I just need to finish. ;)

~My youngest brother, James, turned 17! I can't believe it. Everyone is growing up so fast!! We had a fun day celebrating his birthday.

~As a part of James' birthday present the family had a fun day, one day getaway! ;D

James and I riding in a go-cart!

~I lost my job at the deli I work at because it was closing, then a few day later new owners bought it and hired me back on.

What was one of the best things you did in April?

Book Scavenger Hunt // Book Video

I've been very excited about this particular video for quite some time now. Awhile back my friend, Faith, and I were talking about me doing a book scavenger hunt so she sent me some fun things to find on book covers!

Do you have a book with a TV, book, calendar, or paper clips/staples on it? Did you see a book on my shelf that had those objects? ;)

Movie Questionnaire Featuring My Brothers // Video

Happy St. Patrick's Day! 🍀

I'm SO excited about today's video! My brothers Jonathan and James joined me for this one. :)

Brooklyne over at Showers of Blessing is doing a series called Family Forever Month and she's featuring members of her family in different posts and invited others to do the same, so I thought now would be the perfect time to do this particular video seeing as how my brothers are in it.

Disclaimer: The day we filmed this there were lots of obnoxious birds out and a crop duster was flying around. The funny thing was that none of us actually noticed the crop duster so we just talked right over it. ;) I'm sorry about all of the background noise and my brothers didn't talk the loudest, but I hope you all still enjoy watching this one!!

Run the Race // Movie Review

About the Movie:
Against the backdrop of high school football and track, two brothers in a small Southern town face escalating problems with two different world views, straining - but ultimately strengthening - the bonds of brotherhood.
Rated: PG

You can see a trailer of this movie here.

Run the Race is a movie that just came out recently. (2-22-19) I hadn't known about this movie until just a couple weeks before its release. I was watching the movie Indivisible a few days after it came out on DVD and there was a preview for Run the Race. After seeing the preview I knew I'd like to see the movie.
I really enjoyed Run the Race. The story was good although there were a few things in the storyline that came along, but were never addressed again and left you wondering what happened. I noticed it a few times but it didn't really bother me. I watched the movie with my mom and two of my brothers and those little "story gaps" bothered them a bit more.
I really like movies that have family relationships and this one had a good brother storyline. I also really enjoy movies with a Christian message as well and some drama/tension and this movie had all of those things.
Run the Race is a movie I'd watch again.

My Name in Books // Book Video

I had planned to post a video long before now, but that just didn't happen.
I got one filmed though yesterday and had fun with it and I hope everyone enjoys it! :)
