The Book Lovers Tag

I hope you all are having a wonderful Friday! Today I am here with The Book Lovers Tag. This is a tag that I came up with and am excited to do! :)

~The Rules~
1. Answer the questions
2. Have fun!
3. Tag some book loving bloggers

1. If you could rewrite the end of a book, which one would it be?
I would definitely choose to rewrite the end of June Bug by Chris Fabry. This book was pretty good and I was enjoying it, but the ending was awful! It actually was the first book to make me cry!

2. Which fictional character are you most like?
I'm going to say Christy Miller from the Christy Miller books by Robin Jones Gunn. She just is very realistic. When things don't go as planned she sometimes has a harder time adjusting at first until she realizes that God has other plans. There's also other things that I can relate to. Mostly in the books when she's older like the College Years and on.

3. Do you have any signed books?
Yes, I do have a couple. They are: Andrea Carter and the Long Ride HomeAndrea Carter and the Long Ride Home 10th anniversary edition, Andrea Carter and the Long Ride Home anniversary edition, Andi Saddles UpAndi Under the Big TopHeartbreak Tail, The Last Ride, and Courageous Love by Susan K. Marlow, and One Summers Desire by Abigail Prigge.

4. What's the best book that you've read this year so far?
I've read some great books this year so I can't exactly choose one. A couple wonderful ones are:
The Ebb Tide by Beverly Lewis

Dandelion Dust by Faith Potts (this book comes out on June 30th!)

Sandy Toes and Salty Kisses by Robin Jones Gunn

5. Do you have any bookish pet peeves?
Yes! For some odd reason I do not like long chapters. I love it when I get a book and the chapters are short. Long chapters just seem overwhelming for some reason. I think just because with shorter chapters it's easy to find a good stopping spot. I don't really know what the problem is, I just know short chapters is what I like.

6. Out of the books you've read so far this year, what has had your favorite cover?
I'm going to have to go with three favorite coves. ;)

7. Is there a book that releases this year that you cannot wait to read?
There are a couple books that I cannot wait for, but the two that I am most looking forward to is The Proving by Beverly Lewis and Sunset Lullaby by Robin Jones Gunn.

8. What is your favorite nonfiction book?
Between Heaven and Hollywood by David A. R. White. It is a really good book about chasing your God-given dreams. I'll be doing a review of it soon here on the blog.

9. Do you have a favorite location and/or time period to have a book set in?
For location I really like it when books are set either in Amish Country or the beach. Those are two of my favorite places to go and it's just so much run read books that are set in those two areas.
For time periods, I love the Oregon Trail and times around the Oregon Trail like the Pioneer days.

10. Is there a book that reminds you of something else? (Movies, life, etc...)
Yes, there is. The Lopsided Christmas Cake actually reminds me of an episode from season 1 of When Calls the Heart. They are both quite funny.
Also there's a little poem at the beginning of The Love Letters by Beverly Lewis that reminds me of that same episode of When Calls the Heart.

Okay, I tag:
Faith from Stories by Firefly
Jonathan from The Second Brother
Micaiah from Adventures Beyond the Horizon
Shantelle from Between the Pages of This Bookish Life
Lindsey from Books For Christian Girls

  2. I share your "bookish pet peeve" actually! I don't know why I sometimes shy away from longer chapters...but I love short chapters, even if that means there are more of them!
I need to read these new books of Robin Jones Gunn's. I've read the Christy Miller, Sierra Jensen, Katie Weldon, and the College Years series, but not the others. So much to read, so little time! ;)
    Nice post!
(I found your blog through Faith's ~ I'm also excited for "Dandelion Dust"!)
