April Highlights

I finally got around to doing my April highlights post. This month has been super busy! Here are a couple of my highlights from this past month.

We went on a field trip to Chick-Fil-A. It was really fun. We got to go back into the kitchen and see how everything was made.

My aunt came to visit for a couple days. We had a really fun time with her. :)

I made oven fried chicken! This was actually a big accomplishment for me, because I absolutely do not like to touch raw meat. It is so disgusting. I was really happy that the chicken turned out well. ;) It was actually kind of fun making it, and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

Season 3 of When Calls the Heart ended. It was SO good! It has also been announced that there will be a season 4 next year!!!!! :) I am so very excited! :) The only bad news is that I have a bit of a wait ahead of me. ;)

My friends and I had a When Calls the Heart marathon for season 3. :) We stayed up all night watching the season. :) It was so much fun.

The books I read this past month were:
They Called Her Mrs. Doc by Janette Oke
The Letters by Suzanne Woods Fisher
The Atonement by Beverly Lewis
Christy Miller volume 3 by Robin Jones Gunn
A Bride for Donnigan by Janette Oke
Christy Miller volume 4 by Robin Jones Gunn

I'm looking forward to the rest of May. It looks like it will be another busy, but fun month. :)

Oooohhh, oven fried chicken sounds amazing! How long did it take to make?

I've seen snippets of When Calls the Heart on Youtube, and it looks like so much fun! Tried finding it in the library but they didn't have it. Gonna keep looking around though! :D

    Thanks for sharing, Rebekah!! :-)

    1. Yes, it was a fun, but busy month. :)
Oven fried chicken is so good! It took me about 20 min. or so to prepare it. Then it had to cook for about 40 min.
When Calls the Heart is just sooo good! Oh, hopefully you can find it soon!

  3. I just found your blog and I have to say that we are very similar!!! I love the Life of Faith books and anything Janette Oke. I just recently started reading Beverly Lewis books and absolutely loved them! Which ones are your favorite? I'm actually planning on writing a novel about an Amish woman. The Amish fascinate me as well! :)

I'm so glad I found your blog!
