The Spectacular Book Tag

Jonathan from The Second Brother tagged me for this fun book tag.

The Rules. :)
1. Answer the questions
2. Tag 3 to 5 bloggers

Here are the questions and my answers!
1. What are your favorite book covers?

I really like the covers of "The Love Letters" by Beverly Lewis, "A Revelation in Autumn" by Wanda Brunstetter, "The Sacrifice" by Beverly Lewis, "The Guardian" by Beverly Lewis, and "Child of Mine" by David and Beverly Lewis.
As you can tell I really like covers that have babies and little kids on them. : )

2. What are your favorite book titles?
I like the title of the Dear America book, "Across the Wide and Lonesome Prairie".

3. Have you read a book and didn't know why they named it that and what was the title?
Not that I can think of.

4. Have you read a book with a character that made you mad?
There are quite a few, but I'll just mention two.
1. Isabel Dinsmore from the Millie Keith books.
2. Ada Lambright from "A Cousin's Promise" by Wanda Brunstetter.

5. Is there someone or something from a book you would never want to come across?
I would never want to come across the hex doctor from "The Postcard".

6. If you could meet a character in person from a book who would it be?
I would love to meet Mille Keith from the "A Life of Faith" series.

7. What book are you currently reading?
I am currently reading "A Memory Between Us" by Sarah Sundin. I am also re-reading "A Gown of Spanish Lace" by Janette Oke because it is so good. :) Also I am reading "Little House in the Big Woods" for fun. I usually don't read this many books at a time, but for some reason I am. :)

8. Have you read a book that made you cry?
"The Sacrifice" by Beverly Lewis was so sad and I almost cried.

9. What is the weirdest book you read?
That would be "A Wrinkle in Time" by Madeleine L'Engle.

10. What is the worst book/series you ever read?
"The Postcard" by Beverly Lewis is the worst book I've ever read. I like all of Beverly Lewis' books, but this one is awful!

11. If you could only read one more book the entire year what would it be?
That is a very hard question! I hope that that would never happen, but if it did then I would probably choose the fourth Circle C Milestone book by Susan K. Marlow

Here is a list of the questions to make it easier to copy them. ;)

  1. SARAH SUNDIN!!!! 'A Memory Between Us' is not my favorite in that series, but it's really good! :D All her books are really good.;)
And 'A Gown of Spanish Lace' is probably one of my favorite books by Janette Oke. It's realllyyy good!
I had a lot of fun reading your answers. Looks like they're a lot of book tags going around. :)

    1. Just a few days ago I finished reading "A Distant Melody" by Sarah Sundin. I really enjoyed it. :) It was also the first book that I read by her. I haven't gotten far enough into "A Memory Between Us" to have an opinion yet. ;) What is your favorite book by Sarah Sundin?
YES! "A Gown of Spanish Lace" is SO good. It's my favorite by Janette Oke too. Have you read a lot of Janette Oke's books?
Thanks for commenting, Jesseca! : )

    2. "A Distant Melody" is really good! The characters are all amazing!
My favorite by Sarah Sundin would have to be "Blue Skies Tomorrow", which is book #3 in the "Wings of Glory" series. ;) It has my very favorite character in it! :D A close 2nd would be "On Distant Shores" , which is in one of her other series.

I've read quite a few books by Janette Oke. :) I've read the "Love Comes Softly" series, the "Canadian West" series, the "Seasons of the Heart" series, "A Prairie Legacy" series and then about half of the books in the "Women of the West" series. :) So yeah, I've read quite a few of her books and I love them all! :D Have you read all her books?

    3. Yes, it was really good! :)
"On Distant Shores" sounds really good too. I'll have to add that book to my list of books to be read. ;)

Wow! You have read quite a few books by Janette Oke! I have only read the first two books in "The Canadian West" series and three from the "Women of the West" series: "A Gown of Spanish Lace", "Roses for Mama", and "Heart of the Wilderness". I hope to read more of her books soon. :) Since "A Gown of Spanish Lace is your most favorite, what is your second favorite book in the "Women of the West" series.

    4. Ummm, my second favorite would have to be either "Roses for Mama" or "The Bluebird and the Sparrow". 'The bluebird and the sparrow" is different then a lot of Janette Oke's other books, but it was really, really good. Another favorite would be "Return to Harmony", but it's not in that series. ;) It's a stand-alone novel written by Janette Oke and T Davis Bunn.

    5. Yes, "Roses for Mama" was good. :)
I have "The Bluebird and the Sparrow", I just haven't read it yet. :) It is on my to read list. ;) I'll also have to read "Return to Harmony" :)

  2. "A Revelation in Autumn", yeeesss!!! I love the covers of all the "Lancaster County Saga" books, but "Goodbye to Yesterday" is my favorite. :)
Ada Lambright, hahaha!!! Yes! She's so awful in that book. >_<
I agree with Jesseca that "A Memory Between Us" isn't the best of "Wings of Glory", but it's good. ;)
I'm going to have a hard time answering question-11... ;)

    1. I really like all of the covers of the "Lancaster County Saga" books too, but I just love the cover of book 5. The baby is so cute! :)
Yes, Ada was awful through pretty much all of "A Cousin's Promise"! ;)
Right now I'm on chapter 15 of "A Memory Between Us". It is pretty good, but I definitely like "A Distant Melody" better. :) Thanks so much for telling me about it! :)
I know!! Question 11 was really hard for me too. That would be awful to only be able to read one more book this year. I have a very long list of books I am hoping to read this year. :)

    2. They're all so pretty! The baby IS cute; that would probably be my second favorite. I didn't really like the covers with Jonah, because he wasn't my favorite character. ;)
Ada is definitely going my list of annoying characters! :D
      You're so welcome! I'm glad you're enjoying them. :)
I would be! Just terrible. ;)

    3. Yeah, Jonah wasn't my favorite character either. ;)
She's going on my list too! :)
Yes, it would definitely be terrible. Good thing that's not the case. ;)

  3. Thanks for tagging me, Rebekah! I just finished filling out the tag ;) It was SO much fun! :D

A Gown Of Spanish Lace! I loved that book! That, and Roses for Mama.

Hehe, Isabel Dinsmore. She WAS maddening! Was her oldest daughter's name Adelaide, or something like that? If I remember correctly, she wasn't as "nasty" as Isabel. It was her youngest daughter that was more annoying, right?

I haven't read The Postcard before. . .what about it did you not like? (the grammar in there doesn't seem quite - right :P)

Yes! "A Gown of Spanish Lace" was SO good. :) It's definitely one of my favorite books. "Roses for Mama" was good too. Have you read many books by Janette Oke?
Oh yes, Isabel Dinsmore is just terrible! Yes, Adelaide was the oldest girl. She was actually pretty nice. The second girl, Laura, wasn't too terribly bad either. Enna, the youngest was awful! Also the second youngest girl, Louise, was pretty bad too.
That's good that you've never read "The Postcard" before. It was so terrible. There was this person in the book that most of the other people called a hex doctor, but he was really just a witch doctor. That book is creepy. Mostly those certain parts. So yeah, I would not recommend it, but pretty much all of Beverly Lewis' books are really good. :)
      Thanks for commenting, Blessing! :)
